Kayleigh Harwood appointed Operations Director at Utility Aid

Utility Aid is pleased to announce the promotion of Kayleigh Harwood to Operations Director, recognising her significant contribution to the business and her progression through a number of senior roles since joining the company in 2020.

Kayleigh initially established and led the Customer Services function, bringing with her extensive experience, a strong focus on continuous improvement and a clear ambition to develop high-performing teams. Since then, her responsibilities have expanded to include Invoice Validation, subcontracted services in India and the development of the company’s South Africa office.

A finalist for the Women in Utilities Award 2024, Kayleigh holds a CMI Level 7 in Strategic Leadership and Management Practices, is an ICS Accredited Customer Service Coach and holds a Level 3 NVQ in Customer Management. She also holds a Silver Accreditation in Continuous Improvement.

Utility Aid CEO Giles commented on Kayleigh’s appointment:

“Kayleigh’s progression at Utility Aid is a great example of what can be achieved through hard work, commitment and a willingness to take on new challenges. Since joining us in 2020, she has continually developed her skills, taken on greater responsibility and made a significant contribution across the business. “She has built and led successful teams, embraced increasingly complex areas of the operation and demonstrated a real commitment to continuous improvement. I’m delighted to see her take this next step into the role of Operations Director and I’m looking forward to seeing her continue to make a difference across the business.”

Speaking about her new role, Kayleigh said:

“I am incredibly proud to be stepping into the role of Operations Director and genuinely grateful for the opportunities, trust and support I’ve been given throughout my time at Utility Aid. “A key focus for me will be understanding how we operate day to day and working with teams to identify opportunities to simplify processes, remove unnecessary complexity and help different parts of the business work more effectively together. Most importantly, I want to do this with people, not to people. There is a huge amount of knowledge and experience across Utility Aid, and I’m looking forward to bringing more of that together and turning good ideas into practical improvements.”

In her new role, Kayleigh will focus on supporting the continued development of Utility Aid’s operations as the business grows, working across teams to improve processes, strengthen collaboration and identify opportunities to work more efficiently through the effective use of systems, technology and existing expertise.

Kayleigh’s appointment reflects Utility Aid’s commitment to developing talent within the business and creating opportunities for people to progress their careers as the company continues to grow.

Please join us in congratulating Kayleigh on her appointment and wishing her every success in her new role.
